 Biography

Larry Shannon is the president of First Strategy Corporation, Fourteen Pines Corporation and a partner in The Wilson Shannon Company and StrategyMAX, radio-TV-movie production, public relations and marketing companies with offices in Los Angeles and Missouri.  He is the publisher of RadioTVDaily, RadioDailyNews and TalkRadioDailyNews, appears on radio as a strategist from time to time, has co-hosted a weekly computer-oriented talk show in Dallas-Fort Worth and is the radio voice for Overdrive Trucking News.  He produces 60 second interviews which are downloaded and played on various radio stations and online Web sites across the USA from aMinuteMore.com.

A broadcaster since the age of 16, he has nearly a decade and a half of experience in the broadcast industry.   A recipient of an Addy award for commercial writing and production, he has published two books, the most recent titled, Making the Transition.  

Shannon was an administrative and personal assistant to a Speaker and former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, from 1986-1998, serving in many capacities.  During and following the 2000 elections campaign, Shannon was a political analyst for the Dallas-Fort Worth CBS television affiliate, KTVT.  He is the operations manager and a co-founder of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame.

Larry Shannon is the president of his family's farm and ranch interests through Fourteen Pines Corporation (FourteenPines.com). 
His family has continuously owned and operated farms in Atchison County, Missouri since the early 1840's and ranch property in Converse County, Wyoming since the 1920's.  

After attending the University of Texas at Arlington, in the early 1970's he continued to work in the broadcast industry, in public affairs, the fields of real estate development and sales.  In the early 1980's, he moved to New York and was involved in wholesale marketing.  He served as a personal assistant to former U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Jim Wright from 1986 until 1998 and has been an active participant and advisor in local, state and national political campaigns since 1976.  In 1996, he founded First Strategy Corporation.  During 1998, Larry also served as the Director of Investor Relations with Arch Petroleum, an independent oil and gas company in Fort Worth.  In 1999 he returned to FirstStrategy.

A member of the Texas State Society  he spends time during the year in North Texas and Northwest Missouri.  He is a former member of the board of directors of the Greater Fort Worth Area Civic Leaders Association.   Shannon is listed in the Marquis Who's Who in America and the South and Southwest.  Shannon holds a real estate sales license in the state of Texas and was previously a licensed real estate agent in the State of New York.
