"I Was There"
One hundred and thirty-ninth of a series ...

1. I WAS THERE… in Atlanta…when the news about James Brown was flashed on radio. He had died in a hospital only ten miles from my hotel. I stared at the radio…total disbelief. A quick memory flashback about James Brown…I was introduced to him at a party about two decades ago by the legendary music lady of Atlanta, Gwen Kessler. James stuck out his hand and said, “Glad to meet you. Gwen has told me that you play a lot of our music…thanks for that”. We will miss his creative music genius. I am still in a state of semi-shock.

2. LITE FM in Atlanta is back on the air on another Clear Channel station. That is good news. CC must have signal coverage research indicating the Bull would be better served on the former LITE FM Channel, and that LITE FM would cover the listeners adequately of soft AC on another frequency.

3. Next week…a review of the professional progress of the American Idol winners and losers. You will be astonished at how well they are doing.

HERE WE GO…into a New Year!!! From me to you, have a great ’07!!!!
